Rosalina Nava has been a proud resident of El Monte for 18 years, bringing nearly 25 years of professional experience as a licensed court reporter with the Los Angeles Superior Court. Throughout her career, Rosalina has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to public service, transparency, and community advocacy.
Her dedication to the community is reflected in her extensive volunteer work. Rosalina serves as a board member of the Los Angeles Court Reporters Association and has been a chief steward for 300 court reporters with SEIU721, where she played an important role in negotiating labor contracts, health benefits, and other vital issues for over 95,000 members. Her leadership extends to her role on the Measure EM Oversight Committee, where she oversees nearly $7 million in revenue from a special city tax that funds essential services, including the maintenance of one of four fire stations in El Monte.
Rosalina's vision for El Monte is centered on fostering a strong, vibrant community. She is committed to addressing homelessness through comprehensive solutions, attracting and retaining businesses, and enhancing community trust through transparency and open communication. Rosalina believes that El Monte, a hidden gem in the San Gabriel Valley, has immense potential, and she is dedicated to encouraging greater community involvement by inspiring others to join city boards and committees.
